NJ TRANSIT Rail, Light Rail, and Bus Service for Presidents’ Day – Monday, February 16, 2026
RAIL:
On Monday, February 16, 2026, NJ TRANSIT Rail service will operate an enhanced weekend schedule for Presidents’ Day. The enhanced weekend schedule includes additional trains during the morning and afternoon/evening “peak” periods. See shaded trains in timetables and printable schedules and check footnotes for operating dates.
NOTE: Portal Cutover schedules take effect on Sunday, February 15. Refer to the Weekend Portal Cutover schedules for details on train times.
Customers are advised to carefully check Train Schedules for their specific lines.
LIGHT RAIL:
On Presidents’ Day, Monday, February 16, NJ TRANSIT Light Rail service will operate on modified schedules as follows:
Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will operate on a Saturday/Sunday schedule.
Newark Light Rail will operate on a Saturday schedule.
River LINE Light Rail will operate on a Sunday schedule.
BUS:
On Presidents’ Day, Monday, February 16, select NJ TRANSIT bus routes will operate on a special holiday or weekend schedule. Some routes will operate on a regular weekday schedule or will not operate.
