The NJ TRANSIT Mobile App makes your phone your key to transit. It's being constantly streamlined and updated to give you an easier commute, with the numbers of users continuing to grow. 

To get started, download the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App if you haven’t done so already. Then, update the mobile app frequently to take advantage of all of the new features as they are introduced.

So what’s new? Over the past year, we introduced several new features to enhance your travel experience.


"njt flexpass 20 trips at 20% off"

A new customizable, 20-trip ticket option exclusive to mobile app customers that fits new commuting and work-from-home schedules. How Full is My Ride

"how full is my ride? find out fast!"
This feature enables train and bus customers to see how full their ride is before stepping onboard, to support safe distancing and limit the spread of COVID-19. “How Full is My Ride” uses color-coded icons to identify how heavy ridership is on approaching trains and buses – light ridership (green), medium ridership (yellow) and heavy ridership (red). Receive Arrival Alerts

Want to take a snooze or get some work done undisturbed on the train? With Arrival Alerts, you can receive reminder notifications as your train approaches your destination and again when you arrive. Go to DepartureVision in the mobile app, select your departing station, select your train, and set the alarm bell icon for your train. 

Pause Travel Alerts

My Transit Travel Alerts allow you to pick your stations, the time of day you ride, and even the specific trains or buses you ride. We’ll send you notifications when your trip is delayed, schedules are changed or adjusted, and more. We recently introduced a new feature that allows you to pause your alerts based on changing travel patterns. Just log into your My Transit account at www.njtransit.com/mytransit, access your list of Registered Trips and click on the pause button.

NJT Rewards 

Another exclusive feature coming to mobile app customers – Rewards! Beginning on April 5, 2021, customers can join the program and begin earning points, which can be redeemed for deals at participating local shops, restaurants, attractions, and national chains. https://njtrewards.com/
