While You’ve Been Away
NJ TRANSIT has launched a new information campaign called “While You’ve Been Away,” designed for all customers, but especially those getting ready to return to the system. It includes a long list projects and a supporting video outlining the extensive safety measures, systemwide improvements, and new and ongoing projects that will enhance your travel experience, with more to come.
“We created this campaign to inspire rider confidence and showcase all the work we’ve done since 2018 to improve the customer experience – especially since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic,” said NJ TRANSIT President & CEO Kevin S. Corbett. “As this campaign makes clear, we’ve accomplished quite a bit, and we are so proud to share all we’ve done to move NJ TRANSIT forward – all with the singular focus on giving our customers the best possible transit experience, particularly as many are now contemplating their return to public transit.”
The campaign encourages customers to return to the system by showcasing significant improvements and advancements made by NJ TRANSIT, not only during the COVID-19 pandemic, but over the past three years. It focuses on six core areas:
• Improving Service, Reliability & Safety
• Enhancing Our Customer Experience
• Responding to COVID-19
• Advancing Major Capital Projects
• Setting A Vision for the Future
• Providing Nationally Recognized Security
The campaign is centered around an online hub we’ve created for you - njtransit.com/progress - which will be updated regularly with new, additional improvements.
And for those of you who may make a gradual return to our system with home/worksite flex time, consider using our new FLEXPASS ticket option on the NJ TRANSIT mobile app, which provides customers with a 20-percent discount for 20 one-way trips, valid over a 30-day period. As businesses continue to reopen and people begin returning to their offices, FLEXPASS is a great value for workers with new, more flexible work schedules.
