Newark Light Rail: Boarding Changes & Schedule Adjustments due to Track Work - Weekend | June 6-7, 2020

On Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 from 2AM to 6:30PM, boarding changes and schedule adjustments will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Newark Light Rail due to scheduled track maintenance work as follows:

Saturday, June 6 | 2AM to 6:30PM

• All trains will arrive on the outbound platforms at Norfolk Street, Warren Street, Washington Street and Military Park stations.
• Inbound platforms will be closed at Norfolk Street, Warren Street, Washington Street and Military Park stations.

IMPORTANT: All trains will operate in two sections on a modified Sunday schedule as follows:

Grove Street to Newark Penn stations

Newark Penn to Broad Street stations

• Departing Grove Street: All trains will depart 6 minutes later than scheduled.
• Departing Broad Street: All trains will depart 8 minutes later than scheduled.
• Departing Penn to Broad Street: All trains will depart 6 minutes earlier than scheduled.
• Departing Penn to Grove Street: All trains will depart 10 minutes later than scheduled.

Sunday, June 7 | 2AM to 6:30PM

• All trains will arrive on the outbound platforms at Silver Lake, Branch Brook Park, Davenport Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue stations.
• Inbound platforms will be closed at Silver Lake, Branch Brook Park, Davenport Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue stations.

IMPORTANT: All trains will operate on a modified Sunday schedule as follows:

• Departing Grove Street: All trains will depart on the normal Sunday schedule.
• Departing Broad Street: All trains will depart 5 minutes later than scheduled.

Please allow for extra travel time, check the destination sign prior to boarding, and listen for station announcements.
