Newark Light Rail: Boarding Changes & Schedule Adjustments due to Track Work - Weekend | Saturday, October 10 to Sunday, October 11, 2020

On Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11 from 2AM to 6:30PM each day, boarding changes and schedule adjustments will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Newark Light Rail due to scheduled track maintenance work as follows:

Saturday, October 10 | 2AM to 6:30PM

• All trains will arrive on the inbound platforms at Military Park, Washington Street, Warren Street, Norfolk Street, Orange Street and Park Avenue stations.
• Outbound platforms will be closed at Military Park, Washington Street, Warren Street, Norfolk Street, Orange Street and Park Avenue stations. 

IMPORTANT: All trains will operate in two sections on a modified Sunday schedule as follows:

Grove Street to Newark Penn
Newark Penn to Broad Street

• Departing Grove Street: All trains will depart 6 minutes later than scheduled.
• Departing Broad Street: All trains will depart 8 minutes later than scheduled.
• Departing Newark Penn to Broad Street: All trains will depart 6 minutes earlier than scheduled.
• Departing Newark Penn to Grove Street: All trains will depart 10 minutes later than scheduled.

Sunday, October 11 | 2AM to 6:30PM

• All trains will arrive on the outbound platforms at Park Avenue, Orange Street, Norfolk Street, Warren Street, Washington Street and Military Park stations.
• Inbound platforms will be closed at Park Avenue, Orange Street, Norfolk Street, Warren Street, Washington Street and Military Park stations. 

IMPORTANT: All trains will operate in two sections on a modified Sunday schedule as follows:

Grove Street to Newark Penn
Newark Penn to Broad Street

• Departing Grove Street: All trains will depart 6 minutes later than scheduled.
• Departing Broad Street: All trains will depart 8 minutes later than scheduled.
• Departing Newark Penn to Broad Street: All trains will depart 6 minutes earlier than scheduled.
• Departing Newark Penn to Grove Street: All trains will depart 10 minutes later than scheduled.

Please allow for extra travel time, check the destination sign prior to boarding, and listen for station announcements.
