Newark Light Rail: Boarding Changes & Schedule Adjustments due to Track Work – Weekend | January 9-10, 2021

On Saturday, January 9 and Sunday, January 10 from 2AM to 6:30PM each day, boarding changes and schedule adjustments will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Newark Light Rail due to scheduled track maintenance work as follows:

Saturday, January 9, 2AM to 6:30PM

• All trains will arrive on the outbound platforms at Park Avenue, Orange Street, Norfolk Street, Warren Street, Washington Street and Military Park stations.
• Inbound platforms will be closed at Park Avenue, Orange Street, Norfolk Street, Warren Street, Washington Street and Military Park stations.

IMPORTANT: On Saturday, all trains will operate on a regular Sunday schedule.

Sunday, January 10, 2AM to 6:30PM

• All trains will arrive on the outbound platforms at Davenport Avenue, Bloomfield Avenue, Park Avenue, Orange Street and Norfolk Street stations.
• Inbound platforms will be closed at Davenport Avenue, Bloomfield Avenue, Park Avenue, Orange Street and Norfolk Street stations.

IMPORTANT: On Sunday, all trains will operate on a modified Sunday schedule as follows:

• Departing Grove Street: All trains will depart 10 minutes earlier than scheduled.
• Departing Broad Street: All trains will depart 6 minutes later than scheduled.

Please allow for extra travel time, check the destination sign prior to boarding, and listen for station announcements.
