Newark Light Rail: Boarding Changes due to Track Work: Saturday, August 28 to Sunday, August 29, 2021

On Saturday, August 28 and Sunday, August 29, boarding changes will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Newark Light Rail due to scheduled track maintenance work as follows:

Saturday, August 28, 6AM to 6:30PM

• All trains will arrive on Platform 4 and depart from Platform 2 at Newark Penn Station.
• During this time, platforms 1 and 5 will be temporarily out of service.

IMPORTANT: All trains will operate on a regular Saturday schedule.

Sunday, August 29, 2AM to 6:30PM

• All trains will arrive on the outbound platforms at NJPAC/Center Street, Atlantic Street, Riverfront/Ballpark Stadium and Broad Street stations.
• Inbound platforms will be closed at NJPAC/Center Street, Washington Park and Broad Street stations.

IMPORTANT: All trains will operate on a regular Sunday schedule.

Please allow for extra travel time, check the destination sign prior to boarding, and listen for station announcements.
