Newark Airport Rail Station: Buses Replace NJ TRANSIT Trains during Port Authority Construction at Newark Airport (EWR) Station & Monorail – Weekend – November 13-14, 2021
Beginning on Saturday, November 13 on or about 9:40PM and continuing until Sunday, November 14 until approximately noon, NJ TRANSIT trains will bypass Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) Rail Station while the Port Authority performs bi-annual maintenance at the Airport Rail Station and the monorail.
During this time, NJ TRANSIT customers traveling to EWR Rail Station will be accommodated by shuttle bus service from Newark Penn Station (NPS).
Service Notes (Port Authority ambassadors will be available to direct customers):
- Customers should take the train to NPS where Port Authority shuttle buses will operate on a load-and-go basis to the terminals (skipping EWR Rail Station).
- Buses will board at NPS in front of the main entrance outside of the main waiting room at the Raymond Plaza West Exit by the information booth (Note: Main/front waiting room will remain open during this time).
- Buses will discharge customers at the airport as follows:
- Terminal A, Level 3
- Terminal B, Level 2
- Terminal C, Level 3
- Buses will drop off and also pick up at station P4, valet side
- Passengers traveling to on-airport rental cars at station P3 should disembark at Terminal A and then continue via AirTrain.
- The last trains making airport stops on Saturday, November 13 will be the 9:15PM train to Newark Penn Station/New York and the 9:37PM train to Trenton (departing New York at 9:14PM).
- The first trains making airport stops on Sunday, November 14 will be the 12:06PM train to Newark/New York and the 12:30PM train to Long Branch (departing New York at 12:07PM).

NOTE: Airport train/monorail service may resume earlier on Sunday morning if the work is completed before noon; however, shuttle buses will continue to operate until noon.
