Pascack Valley Line: Buses Replace Trains for Track Work – Saturday, February 5, 2022

On Saturday, February 5 from 5AM through 11:59PM, buses will replace Pascack Valley Line (PVL) trains due to preliminary track preparations for future upgrades.

Service Information:

• Local and New York State express buses will operate between Spring Valley and Secaucus (New York State express buses will make no local stops in New Jersey).
  • Customers traveling between Secaucus and Hoboken should use regular Main/Bergen County and Port Jervis lines trains.
  • Secaucus-New York rail service will operate normally.
• The last PVL train of the night – Train 2101 (12:45AM from Hoboken and 12:55AM from Secaucus) – WILL OPERATE late Saturday, February 5 (early Sunday, February 6).
• Substitute buses will not stop at Teterboro Station. Customers may alternatively take Bus Route No. 161, which will board customers at the Rt. 46 and Industrial Avenue/Hollister Road Bus Stop (No. 161 operates between Paterson Bus Terminal and the Port Authority Bus Terminal with stops at Paterson and Garfield Rail Stations in addition to Teterboro Station).

Alternate Travel Options:

• Main/Bergen County Line: PVL customers may use their tickets/passes to travel via the Main/Bergen County line trains.
• Coach USA: Customers may use their tickets/passes on Coach USA.
• Hudson Line: Monthly or weekly passes to travel to/from stations in New York State will be cross-honored on the Metro-North Hudson Line for travel to Grand Central Terminal.
