Newark Light Rail: Boarding Changes & Schedule Adjustments due to Track Work – Weekend – April 23-24, 2022

On Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24 from 2AM to 6:30PM, boarding changes and schedule adjustments will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Newark Light Rail due to scheduled track maintenance work as follows:

Saturday, April 23, 2AM to 6:30PM

Boarding Changes:

• All trains will arrive on the inbound platforms at Davenport Avenue, Bloomfield Avenue, Park Avenue and Orange Street stations.
• Outbound platforms will be closed at Davenport Avenue, Bloomfield Avenue, Park Avenue and Orange Street stations.

Schedule Adjustments:

• IMPORTANT: All trains will operate on a modified Sunday schedule as follows:
  • Departing Grove Street: All trains will depart 10 minutes earlier than scheduled.
  • Departing Broad Street: All trains will depart 6 minutes later than scheduled.

Sunday, April 24, 2AM to 6:30PM

Boarding Changes:

• All trains will arrive on the inbound platforms at Park Avenue and Orange Street stations.
• Outbound platforms will be closed at Park Avenue and Orange Street stations.
• All trains will operate on a regular Sunday schedule.

Please allow for extra travel time, check the destination sign prior to boarding, and listen for station announcements.
