Newark Light Rail: Boarding Changes & Schedule Adjustments due to Track Work - Weekend – May 14-15, 2022

On Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15 from 2AM to 6:30PM, boarding changes and schedule adjustments will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Newark Light Rail due to scheduled track maintenance work as follows:

Saturday, May 14, 2AM to 6:30PM

Boarding Changes:

• All trains will arrive on the outbound platforms at Davenport Avenue, Bloomfield Avenue, Park Avenue, Orange Street, and Norfolk Street stations.
• Inbound platforms will be closed at Davenport Avenue, Bloomfield Avenue, Park Avenue, Orange Street, and Norfolk Street stations.

Schedule Adjustments:

• IMPORTANT: All trains will operate on a modified Sunday schedule as follows:
  • Trains departing Grove Street will depart 10 minutes earlier than scheduled.
  • Trains departing Broad Street will depart 6 minutes later than scheduled.

Sunday, May 15, 2AM to 6:30PM

Boarding Changes:

• All trains will arrive on the outbound platforms at Park Avenue, Orange Street and Norfolk Street stations.
• Inbound platforms will be closed at Park Avenue, Orange Street and Norfolk Street stations.
• All trains will operate on a regular Sunday schedule.

Please allow for extra travel time, check the destination sign prior to boarding, and listen for station announcements.
