Linden & Rahway Stations: Extended Hours for Low-Level Boarding – Friday, July 29 to Saturday, July 30, 2022

Low-level boarding hours will be extended for an Amtrak tie replacement project from approximately 9PM Friday, July 29 to 8AM Saturday, July 30 at Rahway and Linden stations.

Because this track work is located adjacent to the eastbound (toward Newark/New York) platforms at Rahway and Linden, low-level boarding is required during these hours until level-boarding platform cars can be moved into position. Level boarding is scheduled to resume by 8AM on Saturday.

The last trains to use low-level boarding/detraining will be NEC Train 7812 (7:47 AM at Rahway, 7:52 AM at Linden) and NJCL Train 7212 (7:57 AM at Rahway, 8:02 AM at Linden). Level-boarding using platform extensions will resume with NEC Train 7816 (8:47 AM at Rahway, 8:52 AM at Linden).

Customers on affected eastbound Northeast Corridor (NEC) or North Jersey Coast Line (NJCL) trains who are unable to use stairs to board or exit trains or platforms can depart NEC trains at Metropark or NJCL trains at Woodbridge and call Access Link at (973) 671-4480 for accessible service to any station between Rahway and Newark Penn Station.
