Newark Light Rail: Substitute Busing & Boarding Changes due to Track Work – Friday, October 14 – Monday, October 17, 2022
Newark Light Rail Service will be suspended starting 10 pm on Friday October 14, 2022, with Substitute Bus Service starting on Saturday October 15, 2022 at 4:55AM until 2:03AM on Monday October 17, 2022. Buses will replace trains due to necessary track maintenance work as follows:
Service notes:
- Substitute bus service will operate every 20 minutes all weekend, making all stops between Newark Penn (rear of Bus Lane #1 near McDonald’s) and Grove Street stations.
- Rail service will be temporarily discontinued on the Broad Street Extension (BSE) including at Broad Street, Washington Park, Newark Penn, NJPAC/Center Street, Atlantic Street and Riverfront Stadium stations.
- Customers are advised to use existing local NJ TRANSIT Bus service to connect between Newark Penn Station and your destination as follows.
