Beginning at 5AM on Monday, October 24, 2022, and continuing until the end of the day, boarding changes and schedule adjustments will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Newark Light Rail as follows:

Boarding Changes:

  • Due to single tracking, all trains will arrive at the outbound platforms at Branch Brook Park and Silver Lake stations.

Schedule Adjustments:

IMPORTANT: All trains will operate on a modified weekday schedule with 10-minute head ways between Newark Penn and Grove Street stations in both directions.

NOTE: Broad Street Extension service will operate on a normal weekday schedule.

Please allow for extra travel time. We appreciate your patience as we enhance the Newark Light Rail.
