Multiple Rail Lines: Minor Schedule Changes due to Continued Northeast Corridor Infrastructure Improvements – Beginning Sunday, September 3, 2023

Effective Sunday, September 3, minor schedule changes will take effect on all rail lines except the Atlantic City Line. These changes will account for Amtrak schedule changes and to support continuing work on the new Portal North bridge and other infrastructure improvements.

See information below for all lines. New printed timetables will be issued for the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Lines only. These timetables will be dated “effective 4/23/23, REVISED 9/3/23.” Printer-friendly schedules will be updated on all lines as necessary.

NORTHEAST CORRIDOR LINE

• Trains 3800/7800 – both currently departing Trenton at 1:10AM – will both now depart Trenton at 12:23AM, make all stops to Metropark, then operate express to Newark Airport, Newark Penn Station, Secaucus and New York, arriving in New York at 1:45AM.
• New Train 5800 – operating seven days a week – will depart Trenton at 1:10AM and make all stops to Newark Penn Station, arriving there at 2:25AM. From Newark, customers continuing to New York may use PATH. See pathrail.com for updated schedule information.
  • Train 3200/7200 (departing at 1:37AM) will now be the last train to operate from Newark to New York.
• Trains 3710 and 3504 will no longer stop at Secaucus
• Trains 3222, 3712 and 3926 will now stop at Secaucus

NORTH JERSEY COAST LINE

• The final day for hourly Summer Shore Service is Saturday, September 9. Trains shaded dark blue in both the printed and printer-friendly timetables will not operate after this date.
• The final day for Monmouth Park weekend service is Sunday, September 10. (Weekday service has already concluded for the year.)

RARITAN VALLEY LINE

• There are minor changes to PSNY arrival times of connecting trains at Newark Penn Station.

MORRIS & ESSEX/MONTCLAIR-BOONTON LINES

• Train 6210 will arrive New York four minutes earlier, at 8:15AM.
• Train 6616 will arrive New York three minutes later, at 8:29AM.
• Train 6318 will arrive New York one minute later, at 8:39AM.

MAIN/BERGEN COUNTY/PORT JERVIS LINES

• Train 46’s connection will depart Secaucus at 7:07AM (2 minutes earlier) and arrive in New York at 7:20AM. (3 minutes earlier)
• Train 1206’s Secaucus connection will arrive New York at 8:31AM (1 minute earlier).
• Train 1154’s connection will depart Secaucus at 8:07AM (1 minute earlier) and arrive in New York at 8:21AM (2 minutes earlier).
• Train 52’s connection will depart Secaucus at 8:24AM (2 minutes earlier) and arrive in New York at 8:37AM (3 minutes earlier).
• Train 1254’s connection will depart Secaucus 8:27AM (1 minute later) and will arrive in New York 8:41AM (1 minute later).

PASCACK VALLEY LINE

• Train 1612’s connection will depart Secaucus at 8:17AM (4 minutes later) and will arrive in New York at 8:31AM (3 minutes later).
• Train 1614’s connection will depart Secaucus at 8:33AM (1 minute later) and will arrive in New York 8:49AM (2 minutes later).
• Train 1616’s connection will depart Secaucus at 8:33AM (5 minutes earlier) and will arrive in New York at 8:49AM (2 minutes earlier).
