UPDATE: North Jersey Coast Line Special Schedule in Effect – Saturday, November 4, to Monday, November 6, 2023

Beginning Saturday, November 4 at 4AM until Monday, November 6 at 3:30AM, a special schedule and substitute bus service will be in effect for the North Jersey Coast Line to support major infrastructure work related to construction of the new Raritan River Drawbridge.

This schedule will be significantly different than normal, so please check the information below, and printer-friendly schedules for details are available HERE.

North Jersey Coast Line trains will only operate between Bay Head and Aberdeen-Matawan.

For New York-bound customers at Aberdeen-Matawan, South Amboy, Perth Amboy, Woodbridge, Avenel, and Rahway, substitute buses will transport customers to Metropark, where they will be able to board Northeast Corridor trains towards New York.

Customers traveling from Penn Station New York to North Jersey Coast Line stations should board a Northeast Corridor train to Metropark and detrain at Metropark for connecting bus service to Avenel, Woodbridge, Perth Amboy, South Amboy or Aberdeen-Matawan for continuing rail service towards Bay Head.

At stations from Bay Head through Aberdeen-Matawan:

New York-bound trains will operate on a special schedule, and customers should detrain at Aberdeen-Matawan to connect with substitute buses to Metropark, where continuing rail service to New York will be available.
Customers departing Penn Station New York should take a Northeast Corridor train to Metropark and detrain at Metropark for substitute bus service to Aberdeen-Matawan, where they will board connecting train service to continue their trip towards Bay Head.
For customers traveling to/from South Amboy, Perth Amboy, Woodbridge or Avenel, use the local bus making all stops between Aberdeen-Matawan and Rahway.

At South Amboy:

Substitute buses will operate between South Amboy and Metropark for those traveling to/from any station between Rahway and New York.
For customers traveling to/from Aberdeen-Matawan, Perth Amboy, Woodbridge or Avenel, use the local bus making all stops between Aberdeen-Matawan and Rahway. Click HERE for schedules on page 3.

At Perth Amboy:

Substitute buses will operate between Perth Amboy and Metropark for those traveling to/from any station between Rahway and New York.
For customers traveling to/from Aberdeen-Matawan, South Amboy, Woodbridge or Avenel, use the local bus making all stops between Aberdeen-Matawan and Rahway. Click HERE for schedules on page 3.

At Woodbridge and Avenel:
