New Brunswick and Edison Stations: Extended High-Level Platforms in use due to Track Work – Weekends Starting March 8, 2024

Beginning at 10PM on Friday, March 8, until approximately 5AM on Monday, March 11, and again from 10PM on Friday, March 15, until approximately 5AM on Monday, March 18, customers will board and detrain eastbound trains at New Brunswick and Edison stations using extended high-level bridge plates over track 1, which will be out of service for switch replacement.

  • At New Brunswick, the extended platforms will be placed at the back (west end) of the station, near the station building (at the intersection of Albany Street/Easton Avenue).
  • At Edison, the extended platforms will be placed at the front (east end) of the station, near the station building.

Please use caution when boarding and detraining.

NOTE: At Metuchen, customers traveling on eastbound trains will use low-level platforms when boarding/detraining. Customers requiring level boarding at Metuchen station should check special posters at stations from Trenton through Metuchen or visit njtransit.com/travel-alerts-to and click on the Northeast Corridor section.
