Updated Rail Service Information for Wednesday, August 7, 2024
Due to weather-related impacts, including downed trees and damage to overhead wires on the Morris and Essex Line (M&E), service will remain suspended in both directions between Hackettstown and Summit stations on the M&E Line.
The M&E Line will operate on a weekday schedule with trains originating and terminating at Summit Station with select trains canceled.
For M&E customers whose trips normally originate at stations between Hackettstown and Denville, the Montclair-Boonton Line will operate on a regular weekday schedule with service from Hackettstown for travel to Newark Broad Street Station, Hoboken Terminal, and Penn Station New York. The Gladstone Branch will also operate a regular weekday service.
At this time, all other NJ TRANSIT services are expected to operate on a regular weekday schedule on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, provided conditions safely allow. However, due to continuing severe weather, there may be delays and/or cancelations throughout the service day.
