Bus Detour for No. 836 in Freehold – Sunday, October 26, 2025

 Effective Sunday, October 26, from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Main Street will be closed between Park Avenue and Throckmorton Street due to a Halloween Parade. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 836 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Central State will travel from West Main Street and Park Avenue, continue on park Avenue, right on Manalapan Avenue, left on Broad Street, left on Throckmorton Stret, and then continue the regular route.  
• Buses traveling toward Asbury Park will travel from Broad and Throckmorton streets, make a right on Broad Street, right on Manalapan Avenue, left on route 9 South, exit for West Main Street, right on Park Avenue, and then continue the regular route.      

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
