Bus Detour for No. 258 (GO28) in Newark - Sunday, October 19, 2025

Effective Sunday, October 19, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Broad Street will be closed between University Avenue and McCarter Highway (Route 21) due to the Newark Annual Breast Cancer Walk. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 258 (GO28) in Newark will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark Airport will travel from University Avenue and Orange Street, make a left on Orange Street, left on Broad Street, right on Clay Street, right on McCarter Highway (Route 21), and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Bloomfield will travel from Broad Street and McCarter Highway (Route 21), continue on McCarter Highway (Route 21), bear right on Lombardy Street, and continue to Broad Street, make a right on Broad Street, and then continue the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
