Bus Detour for No. 13 in Newark - Wednesday, October 22, 2025

Effective Wednesday, October 22, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Broadway will be closed between Montclair Avenue and Verona Avenue for road work.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 13 in Newark will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Irvington/Valley Fair will travel from Verona Avenue and Broadway, make a right on Verona Avenue, left on Summer Avenue, left on Montclair Avenue, right on Broadway, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Nutley/Clifton/Belleville will travel from Broadway and Montclair Avenue, make a left on Montclair Avenue, right on Summer Avenue, right on Verona Avenue, left on Broadway, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
