Bus Detour for No. 31 in South Orange – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately, and continuing until Thursday, November 13 at 6:00 AM, Valley Road will be closed between 2nd Street and South Orange Avenue due to milling and paving.   

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 31 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward South Orange  will travel from South Orange Avenue and Prospect Street, layover on South Orange Avenue and Prospect Street, and then continue the regular route.    
• Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from South Orange Avenue and Prospect Street, continue on South Orange Avenue, left on Academy Street, left on Irvington Avenue, left on Prospect Street, right on South Orange Avenue, and then continue the regular route.     

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
