Bus Detour for No. 8 in Greenville – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately and continuing until Tuesday, November 25 at 5:00 PM, Garfield Avenue will be closed between Neptune Avenue and West 55th Street due to milling and paving. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 8 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Journal Square will travel from Garfield Avenue and West 55th Street, make a left on West 55th Street, right on Avenue C, right on Merrit Street, left on Ocean Avenue, right on Neptune Avenue, left on Garfield Avenue, and then continue the regular route.      
• Buses traveling toward Bayonne will travel from Garfield and Neptune Avenues, make a right on Neptune Avenue, left on Ocean Avenue, right on Merrit Street, left on Avenue, C, left on West 54th Street, and then layover on Garfield Avenue.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
