Bus Detour for No. 116 in Woodbridge - Sunday, December 7, 2025

Effective Sunday, December 7, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, Main Street, Rahway Avenue, and Amboy Avenue (Route 35) will be closed between Port Reading Avenue and Amboy Avenue (Route 35) for the 64th Annual Holiday Parade.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 116 in Woodbridge will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward New York will travel from Amboy Avenue (Route 35) and New Street, make a right on New Street, right on Fulton Street, continue straight, left on Legion Place, left on Berry Street, right on Woodbridge Avenue, left on West Avenue, right on Port Reading Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Perth Amboy will travel from Port Reading Avenue and West Avenue, make a left on West Avenue, right on Woodbridge Avenue, slight left at the fork on Berry Street, right on Legion Place, left on Fulton Street, right on Albert Street, left on Amboy Avenue (Route 35), and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
