Bus Detour for No. 81 in Bayonne – Sunday, December 7, 2025

Effective Sunday, December 7, from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Avenue C will be closed between West 8th Street and 50th Street due to the Guadalupan Torch Run. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 81 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Jersey City will travel from Avenue C and West 8th Street, make a right on West 8th Street, continue on Avenue E, left on 50th Street, right on Avenue C, and then continue the regular route.       
• Buses traveling toward Bayonne will travel from Avenue C and West 47th Street, make a left on West 47th Street, right on Avenue E, continue on West 8th Street, left on Broadway, right on West 7th Street, left on Avenue C, and then continue the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
