Bus Detour for No. 87 in Jersey City – Thursday, February 26, 2026

Effective Thursday, February 26 at 6:00 PM, and continuing until Friday, February 27 at 6:00 AM, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive will be closed between Warner Avenue and Atlantic Street due to snow removal.  

NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 87 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Hoboken will travel from Old Bergen Road and Danforth Avenue, continue on Old Bergen Road, right on JFK Boulevard, bear right on Bergen Avenue, right on Atlantic Street, left on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and then continue the regular route.   
• Buses traveling toward Gates Avenue will travel from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Virginia Avenue, make a right on Virginia Avenue, left on Bergen Avenue, continue on JFK Boulevard, left on McAdoo Avenue, right on Old Bergen Avenue, and then continue the regular route. 

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
