Bus Detour for No. 87 in Jersey City - Thursday, February 26, to Friday, February 27, 2026

Effective Thursday, February 26, until Friday, February 27, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Sip Avenue will be closed between Summit Avenue and Hawthorne Avenue for snow removal.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 87 in Jersey City will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Hoboken will travel from Monticello Street and Montgomery Street, make a right on Montgomery Street, left on Summit Avenue, left on Pavonia Avenue (drop off at Lane A), turn into Lane D, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Gates Avenue will travel from JRSQ Lane A, turn into Lane D, make a right on Pavonia Avenue, right on Summit Avenue, right on Montgomery Street, left on Monticello Street, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
