Bus Detour for No. 1 in Jersey City - Thursday, February 26, to Friday, February 27, 2026

Effective Thursday, February 26, from 6:00 PM until Friday, February 27, at 6:00 AM, Sip Avenue will be closed between Summit Avenue and Hawthorne Avenue for snow removal.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 1 in Jersey City will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Journal Square will travel from Westside Avenue and Montgomery Street, make a right on Montgomery Street, left on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, right on Pavonia Avenue, right into Platform B, U-turn into Platform D, pick up and drop off at Platform D-2, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from Platform D-2, make a left on Pavonia Avenue, left on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, bear right on John F. Kennedy Boulevard, right on Montgomery Street, left on Westside Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
