Morris & Essex Lines: Information for Weekend Travel During Portal Work – Weekends through Saturday, March 14, 2026
Customers traveling between Hoboken Terminal and stations along the Morristown Line or Gladstone Branch on weekends through the end of service on Saturday, March 14, are reminded that connections should be made via Secaucus instead of Newark Broad Street while the Portal cutover project continues.
Please note the following:
- Gladstone Branch customers should transfer across the platform at Summit to continue their trips as usual.
- Morristown Line trains arrive and depart from the upper level at Secaucus.
- Customers at Secaucus will need to transfer via the rotunda between the upper and lower levels.
- Trains to and from Hoboken arrive and depart from the lower level at Secaucus.
- From Hoboken, use Main, Bergen County, Pascack Valley or Port Jervis Line trains to Secaucus.
