Bus Detour for No. 108 in Newark - Monday, March 16, to Friday, March 20, 2026

Effective Monday, March 16 until Friday, March 20, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Central Avenue will be closed between University Avenue and Washington Avenue for building construction.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 108 in Newark will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward New York will travel from University Avenue and Central Avenue, continue on University Avenue, make a left on Warren Street, left on Washington Street, right on Central Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from Central Avenue and Washington Street, make a right on Washington Street, left on James Street, left on University Avenue, right on Central Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
