Bus Detour for No. 24 in Newark - Effective Immediately

Effective Tuesday, March 17, until Friday, March 20, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Frelinghuysen Avenue will be closed between East Peddie Street and Concord Street for rail crossing rehabilitation.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 24 in Newark will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Elizabeth will travel from Frelinghuysen Avenue and Concord Street, make a right on Concord Street, left on Sherman Avenue, left on East Peddie Street, right on Frelinghuysen Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Orange will travel from Frelinghuysen Avenue and East Peddie Street, make a left on East Peddie Street, right on Sherman Avenue, right on East Runyon Street, left on Frelinghuysen Avenue, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
