Bus Detour for No. 70 in Newark – Wednesday, March 25, 2026

Effective Wednesday, March 25, from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Irvine Turner Boulevard will be closed between Avon and Clinton Avenues due to a food drive. 

NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 70 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from Avon and Ridgewood Avenues, make a right on Ridgewood Avenue, left on Clinton Avenue, and then continue the regular route. 
• Buses traveling toward Livingston Mall will not be affected. 

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
