From 6:00 AM Saturday, May 2 until 7:30 PM Sunday, May 3, Morris & Essex trains are subject to delays of up to 10 minutes due to infrastructure maintenance between Newark Broad Street and East Orange stations. During this time:

Morris & Essex trains will arrive and depart from track 2 at Newark Broad Street in both directions.

Shuttle trains replacing Montclair Line service will operate as follows at Newark Broad Street:

  • Traveling TO Hoboken: the shuttle train will follow the M&E train on track 2. Morris & Essex customers continuing to Hoboken must exit the train at Newark Broad Street and wait for the shuttle train. Customers transferring from substitute buses should go to the track 2 platform to await the arrival of their train.
  • Arriving FROM Hoboken: customers should follow crewmembers’ instructions. They will either be directed to exit the shuttle train and wait on the platform for the M&E train to arrive or be directed to walk along the platform to transfer to the M&E trains. Customers transferring to substitute buses should leave Newark Broad Street stations and head to the bus stop located at Lackawanna and University Avenues.
  • In addition to possible delays on Morris & Essex trains, connecting westbound Gladstone trains are subject to 10-minute delays from Summit to Gladstone.

NOTE: The last Morris & Essex train to New York (Train 6944) will hold for Montclair Line bus connections and depart Newark Broad Street approximately 25 minutes later than normal.
