NJ TRANSIT Holiday Light Rail Service & Savings for Christmas Holiday Week – Friday, December 18, 2020 to Monday, January 4, 2021

On Thursday, December 24 through Sunday, December 27, NJ TRANSIT Light Rail service will operate with some modifications for the Christmas holiday week as follows:

Christmas Light Rail service at a glance:

• On Thursday, December 24, light rail lines will operate on a weekday schedule.
• On Friday, December 25, Newark Light Rail and River LINE will operate on a Sunday schedule, and HBLR will operate on a weekend schedule.
• On Saturday, December 26, Newark Light Rail and River LINE will operate on a Saturday schedule, HBLR will operate on a weekend schedule. 
• On Sunday, December 27, light rail lines will operate on a regular Sunday schedule.

Additionally, for the holidays, all children, age 11 or younger, ride free with any fare-paying customer! NJ TRANSIT’s Family SuperSaver Fare will be in effect for the entire holiday period, starting at 7PM Friday, December 18 until 6AM Monday, January 4, on the entire NJ TRANSIT system.
