Raritan Valley Line: Buses Replace Trains between Raritan & Plainfield Stations due to Culvert Replacement Work – Saturday Morning, May 22 to Monday Morning, May 24, 2021
Beginning at 12:01AM, Saturday, May 22 through 4:30AM, Monday, May 24, buses will replace Raritan Valley Line trains between Raritan and Plainfield stations due to culvert replacement work between Dunellen and Bound Brook stations.

Note: On Friday, May 21 from 8:30PM to 11:59PM, trains will operate on Track 2 in both directions at Plainfield and Dunellen stations for preliminary work. During this time, trains may be subject to delays of up to 20 minutes. Please listen for announcements, and check the boarding sign before boarding at these stations.
Service Notes:
- Buses traveling from Raritan to Plainfield will depart earlier than the train times at all stations. Trains will depart Plainfield and all stations through Union at the regular train times and will arrive at Newark at their normal times.
- Exception: The bus representing Train 5540 will depart Raritan at the scheduled train time (11:36PM) and make all stops to Plainfield later than the scheduled train times. The connecting train will not depart Plainfield until the substitute bus has arrived, and it will operate up to 30 minutes later than normal at all stations through Newark.
- Westbound trains from Newark Penn Station will depart at the regular time and make all station stops through Plainfield at their normal times. Buses traveling from Plainfield to Raritan will depart 5 to 10 minutes after the train arrives and will make all station stops later than the scheduled train times.
