Newark Light Rail: Weekday Schedule Adjustments due to Switch Work – Tuesday, September 21 to Friday, September 24, 2021

Beginning on Tuesday, September 21 at the start of service, (4:13AM from Grove Street Station) and continuing through Friday, September 24 at the end of service (1:15AM from Newark Penn Station), Newark Light Rail’s Mainline service (Grove Street Station to Newark Penn Station) will be operating every ten minutes on a modified schedule due to emergency switch repairs at Branch Brook Park Interlocking. 

Note: During this time, the Broad Street Extension (Newark Penn Station to Newark Broad Street Station) will continue to operate normal weekday service.

Please allow for extra travel time, check the destination sign prior to boarding, and listen for station announcements. We appreciate your patience as we continue to enhance Newark Light Rail.
