Newark Light Rail: Boarding Changes & Schedule Adjustments due to Track Work – Weekend – August 27 & 28, 2022

On Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28 from 2AM to 6:30PM both days, boarding changes and schedule adjustments will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Newark Light Rail due to scheduled track maintenance work as follows:

Boarding Changes:

  • All trains will arrive on the inbound platforms at Bloomfield Avenue and Davenport Avenue stations.
  • Outbound platforms will be closed at Bloomfield Avenue and Davenport Avenue stations.
  • Additionally, all trains at Newark Penn Station will arrive on Platform 5 and depart from Platform 2 on Saturday, August 27 from 2AM-6:30PM.

Schedule Adjustments:

IMPORTANT: All trains will operate on a regular Sunday schedule.

Please allow for extra travel time, check the destination sign prior to boarding, and listen for station announcements.
