On Monday, September 5, NJ TRANSIT will operate extra rail service for Labor Day as detailed below. For complete rail schedule information, see Train Schedules.
- Friday, September 2:
- Additional trains departing New York, Newark Penn Station and Hoboken between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM will operate on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley, Morris & Essex and Port Jervis Lines.
- To support the early getaway service outlined above, certain trains on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line operating between 5:00 and 7:00 PM will be cancelled.
- Additional trains departing New York, Newark Penn Station and Hoboken between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM will operate on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley, Morris & Essex and Port Jervis Lines.
- Saturday, September 3 and Sunday, September 4: Trains will operate on a normal weekend schedule.
- Monday, September 5 (Labor Day): Trains will operate on a normal weekend/major holiday schedule, including Port Jervis Line Train 88 (departing Port Jervis at 4:05 PM).
