UPDATE: Port Jervis Line: Buses Replace Off-Peak Trains due to Track Work until Sunday, November 13

UPDATE: Busing is no longer in effect and trains have returned to a normal schedule.

Continuing until 3AM Sunday, November 13, Coach USA buses will replace Port Jervis Line off-peak trains at New York stations (between Port Jervis and Sloatsburg) during the times shown below to support NJ TRANSIT and Metro–North work to replace ties, switches, and perform other maintenance work.

During this time, trains will operate normally between Suffern and Hoboken. Customers traveling from/to stations beyond Suffern must transfer between trains and buses at Ramsey Route 17 Station.

Service will be affected:

  • Weekdays until Friday, November 11, from approximately 9AM until 4:30PM
  • From 12:30AM Saturday, November 12 until 3AM on Sunday, November 13
  • Regular weekend Port Jervis Line service resumes with Trains 70 (4:41AM departure from Port Jervis) and 71 (9:20AM from Hoboken) on Sunday, November 13. Regular weekday service (with midday trains operating to/from Port Jervis or Middletown as usual) resumes on Monday, November 14

During these periods, trains will operate normally between Suffern and Hoboken. Customers traveling from/to stations beyond Suffern must transfer between trains and buses at Ramsey Route 17 Station.

Please note that trains will operate normally between Port Jervis and Hoboken on weekdays during peak periods and in the evening.
