Beginning at 5AM Monday, October 17 and continuing until the end of service day, boarding changes and schedule adjustments will occur on NJ TRANSIT’s Newark Light Rail as follows:

Boarding Changes:

  • Due to single tracking, all trains will arrive on the inbound platforms at Branch Brook Park and Silver Lake stations.

Schedule Adjustments:

IMPORTANT: All trains will operate on a modified weekday schedule with 10-minute headways between Newark Penn and Grove Street stations in both directions.

NOTE: Broad Street Extension service will operate on a normal weekday schedule.

Please allow for extra travel time, check the destination sign prior to boarding, and listen for station announcements.
