Newark Light Rail: Substitute Busing & Boarding Changes due to Track Work – Saturday, November 12 - Monday, November 14, 2022

Beginning at 5AM, Saturday, November 12, and continuing until 1AM Monday, November 14, buses will replace trains on NJ TRANSIT’s Newark Light Rail system due to necessary track maintenance work as follows:

Service notes:

From 5AM Saturday, November 12, until 1AM Monday, November 14, buses will operate hourly making all stops between Newark Penn (rear of Bus Lane #1 near McDonald’s) and Grove Street stations. NOTE: the last busses will depart Newark Penn and Grove Street stations at 1AM.
From 5AM Saturday, November 12, until 1AM Monday, November 14, substitute bus service will operate every 20 minutes all weekend.
Rail service will be temporarily discontinued on the Broad Street Extension (BSE) including at Broad Street, Harriet Tubman Square, Newark Penn, NJPAC/Center Street, Atlantic Street and Riverfront Stadium stations.
- Customers are advised to use existing local NJ TRANSIT Bus service to connect between Newark Penn Station and your destination as follows.

Light Rail Station	Bus Route Information to/from Newark Penn Station
Broad Street	Board at bus stop in front of rail station entrance on University Avenue (MyBus #19046). Bus Route Nos. 30, 41, 72, 76 and 108. After 6:30PM on Saturdays and all day on Sundays - also Nos. 11, 28 and 29.
Riverfront Stadium	Walk one block and board at stop in front of Broad Street Station rail station entrance (MyBus #19046). Bus Route Nos. 30, 41, 72, 76 and 108. After 6:30 PM on Saturdays and all day on Sundays - also Nos. 11, 28 and 29.
Harriet Tubman Square	Walk two blocks west to bus stop on University Avenue at James Street (MyBus #19048). Bus Route Nos. 30, 41, 72 and 76. After 6:30 PM on Saturdays and all day on Sundays - also Nos. 11, 28 and 29.
Atlantic Street	Walk two blocks west to bus stop on University Avenue at James Street (MyBus #19048). Bus Route Nos. 30, 41, 72 and 76. After 6:30 PM on Saturdays and all day on Sundays - also Nos. 11, 28 and 29.
NJPAC/Center Street	Walk to bus stop on Sarah Vaughn Way at Park Place (MyBus #18886). Bus Route No. 108.
