NJ TRANSIT Rail Service for Independence Day Weekend – Friday, June 30 - Tuesday, July 4, 2023
From Friday, June 30, to Tuesday, July 4, NJ TRANSIT Rail service will operate on a modified schedule as outlined below.
SERVICE NOTES:
Friday, June 30: Trains will operate on a regular weekly schedule with the following enhancements: From approximately 2PM until approximately 6PM, extra outbound trains will operate. Visit njtransit.com or see Rail Timetables for details.
Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2: Trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule.
Monday, July 3: Trains will operate on a regular weekday schedule.
Tuesday, July 4: Trains will operate on a weekend/major holiday schedule on all lines. Additionally, Port Jervis Line Train 88 (4:05PM departure from Port Jervis, 5:38PM departure from Suffern, express to Secaucus/Hoboken) will operate.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Beverages of any kind, in any type of container, open or closed, will not be permitted on board train/bus/light rail. This policy will be strictly enforced. Customers will see increased police presence on the transit system statewide.
NJ TRANSIT Summer Vibes: The “Summer Vibes” continue to roll for NJ TRANSIT with enhanced rail and bus service heading down the Shore! Additional weekend/holiday shuttle trains between Long Branch and Bay Head and express bus service from Philadelphia to Wildwood and Cape May join a great assortment of deals and discounts for customers to enjoy fun in the sun.
