NJ TRANSIT Light Rail: Service for Independence Day – Friday, June 30 - Tuesday, July 4, 2023
From Friday, June 30, to Tuesday, July 4, NJ TRANSIT Light Rail service will operate on a modified schedule as outlined below.
SERVICE NOTES:
Friday, June 30: All Light Rail Trains will operate on a regular weekly schedule. njtransit.com or see Light Rail Timetables for details.
Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2:
- Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will operate on a weekend schedule.
- Newark Light Rail will operate on a Saturday and Sunday schedule respectively.
- River LINE will operate on a Saturday and Sunday schedule respectively.
Monday, July 3: All Light Rail systems will operate on a regular weekday schedule.
Tuesday, July 4:
- Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will operate on a weekend/holiday schedule. Click here to see the schedule.
- Beginning at 10AM on July 4, HBLR will adjust the routes which normally travel through and serve Exchange Place by terminating one stop prior to the Exchange Place station. Service from Tonnelle Avenue and Hoboken will terminate at Harborside. Service from West Side Avenue and 8th Street will terminate at Essex Street. See njtransit.com for more details.
- Newark Light Rail will operate on a Saturday schedule.
- River LINE will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Beverages of any kind, in any type of container, open or closed, will not be permitted on board train/bus/light rail. This policy will be strictly enforced. Customers will see increased police presence on the transit system statewide.
