NJ TRANSIT Rail Service for Labor Day Weekend – Friday, September 1 thru Monday, September 4, 2023

On Monday, September 4 (Labor Day), NJ TRANSIT will operate extra rail service for Labor Day as detailed below. For complete rail schedule information, see Train Schedules.

Friday, September 1: Additional trains departing New York, Newark Penn Station, and Hoboken between 2PM and 4PM will operate on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley, Morris & Essex, and Port Jervis lines.
- To support the early getaway service outlined above, certain trains on the Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line operating between 5PM and 7PM will be canceled.
- Sports Line service will operate for the Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band concerts at MetLife Stadium.

Saturday, September 2: Trains will operate on a normal weekend schedule.

Sunday, September 3: Trains will operate on a normal weekend schedule. Sports Line service will also operate for the Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band concerts at MetLife Stadium.

Monday, September 4 (Labor Day): Trains will operate on a normal weekend/major holiday schedule, including Port Jervis Line Train 88 (departing Port Jervis at 4:05PM).

REMINDER: Minor schedule changes take effect on Sunday, September 3. Late Sunday night/early Monday begins the new schedule for Trains 3800/7800 (50 minutes earlier than the current schedule) and new Train 5800, operating on the current 3800/7800 schedule to Newark only, with New York connections available via PATH.
