Hudson-Bergen Light Rail: Schedule Adjustments due to 4th of July Festivities – Thursday, July 4, 2024
On Thursday, July 4, schedule adjustments will occur on NJ TRANSIT Hudson-Bergen Light Rail due to 4th of July Festivities.
Boarding Changes:
- At the start of service, HBLR will run a weekend schedule total of 9 trains from the start of service until 10AM. Split service will run from 10AM to 11PM. After fireworks, there will be a brief schedule disruption for Load-And-Go stage train service. Then, 11PM normal weekend service will resume until 3AM.
- After 10AM, railroad will split to North/South.

Northbound Departures (in minutes after the hour) - Start of service to 10AM to 5PM:
- 8th Street to Essex: :09, :29, :49
- Westside Avenue to Essex: :08, :28, :48
- Harborside to Tonnelle Avenue: :03, :23, :43
- Harborside to Hoboken: :18, :38, :58
Southbound Departures (in minutes after the hour) - Start of service to 10AM to 5PM:
- Tonnelle Avenue to Harborside: :16, :36, :56
- Hoboken to Harborside: :05, :25, :45
- Essex to 8th Street: :16, :36, :56
- Essex to Westside Avenue: :10, :30, :50
Split Railroad from 5PM to 11PM:
Northbound Departure Times:
8th St. to Essex: :04, :19, :34, :49
Westside Ave to Essex: :03, :18, :33, :48
Harborside to Tonnelle :08, :23, :38, :53
Harborside to Hoboken: :03, :18, :33, :48
Hoboken to Tonnelle Shuttle: :18, :38, :58 (6PM to 9:30PM)
Southbound Departure Times
- Tonnelle Avenue to Harborside: :11, :26, :41, :56
Tonnelle Avenue to Hoboken Shuttle: :18, :38, :58 (6PM to 9:30PM)
Hoboken to Harborside: 05, :20, :35, :50
Essex St. to 8th St.: 13, :28, :43, :58
Essex St. to Westside Ave: :10, :25, :40, :55
After 11PM on Sunday, normal weekend revenue service will resume until 3AM.
Northbound Departure Times:
- West Side Avenue to Tonnelle Avenue: :08, :28, :48
- 8th Street to Hoboken Terminal: :09, :29, :49
Southbound Departure Times:
- Tonnelle Avenue to West Side Avenue: :16, :36, :56
- Hoboken Terminal to 8th Street: :05, :25, :45
