Bus Detour for No. 71 in Livingston – Thursday, May 15, 2025

Effective Thursday, May 15 at 8:00 PM, and continuing until Friday, May 16 at 4:00AM, Livingston Avenue will be closed between East McClellan and East Mt. Pleasant avenues due to road work. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 71 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark Penn Station will travel from Livingston and East Mt. Pleasant avenues, make a right on East Mt. Pleasant Avenue, make a left on Laurel Avenue, bear left onto East McClellan Avenue, right on North Livingston Avenue, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Parsippany will travel from North Livingston and East McClellan avenues, make a left on East McClellan Avenue, continue straight onto Laurel Avenue, right on East Mt. Pleasant Avenue, left on Livingston Avenue, and then continue the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
