Bus Detour for No. 34 in Montclair – Monday, May 26, 2025

Effective Monday, May 26, from 7:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Elm Street and Orange Road will be closed between Washington Street and Bloomfield Avenue due to a Memorial Day Parade.

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 34 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from Clearmont Avenue and Park Street, make a right on Park Street, right on Walnut Street, right on Grove Street, left on Glenridge Avenue, right on Highland Avenue, left on Bloomfield Avenue, right on Ridgewood Avenue, continue onto Thomas Boulevard, and then continue the regular route.  
• Buses traveling toward Montclair will travel from Orange Road and Washington Street, make a right on Washington Street, make a right on Ridgewood Avenue, left on Bloomfield Avenue, right on Highland Avenue, left on Glenridge Avenue, right on Grove Street, left on Clearmont Avenue, and then end the trip at Park Street and Clearmont Avenue.    

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
