Bus Detour for No. 76 in Newark – Saturday, July 12, 2025

Effective on Saturday, July 12, from 7:00 AM until 11:00 PM, Passaic Avenue will be closed between Johnston and Central avenues due to a street fair. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route No. 76 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Newark will travel from Belgrove Drive and Grant Avenue, bear left on Grant Avenue, right on Central Avenue, continue to Clay Street, and then continue the regular route.  
• Buses traveling toward Hackensack will travel from Passaic and Central avenues, continue on Central Avenue, make a left on Grant Avenue, bear right on Belgrove Avenue, and then continue the regular route.  

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
