Bus Detour for Nos. 24 & 108 in Newark – Effective Immediately

Effective immediately and continuing until 4:00 PM on Friday, September 26, Central Avenue will be closed between Washington and Broad streets due to building demolition. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 24 and 108 will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Jersey Gardens Mall/PABT will travel from Central Avenue and Washington Street, make a left on Washington Street, right on Washington Place, right on Broad Street, and then continue the regular route. 108 Service will make a left on Park Place, and then continue the regular route.  
• Buses traveling toward East Orange/Newark will not be affected. 

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
