Bus Detour for Nos. 813 and 817 in Perth Amboy - Thursday, October 9, 2025

Effective Thursday, October 9, from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Smith Street will be closed between Madison Avenue and Elm Street for a special event. 

During this time, NJ TRANSIT Bus Route Nos. 813 and 817 in Perth Amboy will operate on a detour as follows:

• Buses traveling toward Perth Amboy will travel from Smith Street and Oak Street, make a right on Oak Street, left on Market Street, left on State Street, right on Smith Street, and then continue the regular route.
• Buses traveling toward Middlesex County College/Campbell's Junction will travel from Smith Street and State Street, make a left on State Street, right on Market Street, right on Oak Street, continue on Oak Street, and then continue the regular route.

Bus stops may be lost, and minor delays are expected during this detour. Please read the above detour directions carefully and allow for extra travel time.
